Your pelvic floor muscles play a key role in bladder and bowel control, core stability, sexual health and pelvic organ support. As a physical therapist, I evaluate not only the pelvic floor but also how your whole body, including your hips, core, and posture, affects function. Pelvic floor physical therapy helps retrain muscles that are weak, tight or uncoordinated. Through targeted exercises, hands-on techniques and sometimes Pilates, therapy helps reduce symptoms, improve function, and support long-term pelvic health.

I treat a wide range of pelvic health concerns. This includes pelvic pain or discomfort, urinary urgency or incontinence, bowel irregularities or constipation, pregnancy-related pain and postpartum recovery, pain with sexual activity, scar tissue sensitivity or restrictions, and preparation for labor and postpartum healing.

Your first session includes a thorough discussion of your symptoms, medical history and goals. A physical assessment may include posture, hip and core evaluation and gentle muscle testing. With your consent, an internal or external pelvic evaluation may be performed to create a treatment plan tailored to you.

Each plan is personalized based on your goals and needs. Some patients notice improvements in just a few sessions while others benefit from ongoing care. Because sessions are focused and high-quality, many patients require fewer visits than in traditional insurance-based models.

I don’t bill insurance directly. This allows me to provide high-quality, personalized care efficiently with full-hour one-on-one sessions, access to Pilates equipment when appropriate and consistent scheduling so you have reliable access to me. Sessions are in a calming, comfortable, non-medical environment and I can offer home visits if needed. Parents can bring children to most sessions when necessary.
I can provide superbills for potential insurance reimbursement and many FSA/HSA plans are accepted, giving you flexibility while receiving individualized care.
